Passion Flowers

Passion Flowers

60” x 60”; $1,200; 2009. I made this quilt in 2009 for display at a botanical garden's show. It is a medallion design, incorporating a color shift from warm yellows, pinks and reds in the center to cooler greens, blues, and purples in the outer borders. Piecing styles include Seminole pieced borders, interior borders using unusual angles, Dragonfly Blocks (from N.B.Daniels), partial log cabin block flowers in each corner, pieced outer borders, and a hand stitched binding. Each distinct section has its own quilting design. The face and back are 100% Cotton; the batting is 50% Bamboo/50% Cotton. The quilt has a 4” wide rod pocket for hanging.
