Seminole Chinese Cranes

Seminole Chinese Cranes

40" x 65.5"; $200; 2006. This wall hanging combines Asian-style printed crane images with Seminole strip piecing, a technique developed by the native Seminoles of Florida. The top horizontal band represents mountains, the middle band is a river, and the lower band is earth and soil. Between these are the various crane images and smaller intricately pieced strips. The face and back are 100% cotton; the batting is 80% cotton and 20% polyester. There is a 2" rod pocket for hanging.
